DR. JAMES E. KAPLAR

Dr. James Kaplar has been a licensed and practicing Clinical Psychologist for over 35 years. He earned his Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology with a minor in Counseling Psychology from the University of Massachusetts in 1970. He has worked as a clinician in the area of public mental health facilities, hospital based outpatient and inpatient settings, as a consulting psychologist and Director for educational facilities throughout northern Ohio. He is the founder and Director of the Attention Deficit Disorder Centers in Solon and Westlake, Ohio, and has been an adjunct professor at Cuyahoga Community College and Ursuline College, Pepper Pike, Ohio. He was the former Director at Summit Academies.

Dr. Kaplar has a wealth of experience as a clinician, supervisor and educator. He has presented to a wide range of participants on a host of topics. He specializes in working with adults and children having Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder or Asperger’s Disorder and co-existing behavioral and emotional problems.

Dr. Kaplar is paneled with a number of insurance companies as a contracted provider.
