“A
Day of Hope and Healing”
One Day Retreat for Women
May 6,
2006
Hopewood
Retreat Ministries and C.J. Hendry & Associates invite you
to come away to a quiet, peaceful setting for a day set apart
from the routines of normal life. This day of listening, learning
and leaning on the Lord Himself will offer you a safe place
to discover wise principles for healing many of life’s
most painful wounds as well as opportunities for fellowship,
worship and prayer.
“Moderator
for the Day” Carol J. Ball, M.A., M.Div.,
LPCC
Carol Ball, a licensed professional clinical counselor with
a Masters of Divinity from Ashland Theological Seminary will
serve as Moderator for the day. She has over 28 years in healing
ministry and has a special way of communicating her own experiences
of brokenness, loss, disappointment and struggles in relationships.
She will minister to you as she helps you apply what you are
learning throughout the day.
“Healing
After Significant Loss” Carol Klekota,
M.A., LPCC
Carol’s special interest in the areas of trauma and loss
have become even more personal to her after her mother’s
recent death from breast cancer. Whether your loss is recent
or long ago, she will offer comfort and spiritual direction
for dealing with the pain of losses seemingly too difficult
to bear, be they the result of death, divorce, or any other
form of separation. Her Biblical insight and candor will encourage
and inspire you to allow God to help you find your new normal
as life continues after you suffer loss.
“Healing
in Difficult Relationships” Mary Lou Doebele,
M.A., LPC
Mary Lou is passionate about seeing people delivered out of
the bondage of abusive relationships. She will present helpful
insights and tools for facing and moving beyond the very real
pain of conflict with those you love. Mary Lou has walked through
an amazing journey from despair to restoration in her own marriage
and will share her healing journey with you as well.
“Healing
the Wounded Soul” Susan Zacharias, LSW,
M.A., LPCC
Susan will gently shed new light into the painful darkness of
your past. Her many years of experience counseling men and women
through the wounds that continue to haunt them today is led
by God’s spirit and will bring our pains and hurts to
the forefront so that the spirit of God might have access to
mend our deepest wounds.
Cost is
$60 per person and includes lunch, beverages, and snacks.
Counselors
have donated their time in order that all proceeds of this event
will benefit the ongoing Hopewood ministry.
We will
be meeting in the common Ground Lodge which is situated on 20
picturesque acres in the Vermilion River Valley. Lovely trails,
benches and a gazebo are part of this peaceful setting. Please
dress comfortably so you can enjoy some time alone or perhaps
a walk with friends in the beautiful surroundings throughout
the day—weather permitting.
